Diploma in Higher Education (Ayurvedic Medicine)

The College of Ayurveda & Yoga Therapy offers a comprehensive and unique four-year Diploma in Ayurvedic Medicine, which integrates ancient Ayurvedic wisdom with modern medical science and Western herbs. The programme uses a blended-learning approach that combines self-study, online lectures, classroom tutorials, close mentorship, and residential clinical practices in the UK, France, and India.

Students enrolled in the programme will gain extensive knowledge and understanding of Ayurvedic concepts, Ayurvedic and Modern Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Diagnostics, and Therapeutics, including Ayurvedic and Western Herbology. The programme emphasizes research techniques and provides students with extensive clinical practice to build their confidence before becoming competent Ayurvedic therapists or practitioners.

One unique feature of the programme is that students have the opportunity to exit with a recognized qualification at the successful completion of each year. This means that students who are unable to commit to the full four-year Diploma can still enroll in the course and leave with a certificate that enables them to practice professionally as an Ayurvedic massage therapist or nutrition and lifestyle counsellor after one and two years of study, respectively.

The course combines weekly online lectures with monthly classroom weekends to accommodate students with work commitments and those unable to regularly attend face-to-face classes due to travel restrictions. Online lectures take place over a weekend, and classroom tutorials are attended on a full weekend once a month.

The course fees are £3,500 per year, with additional expenses for The Yoga Instructors Course, study materials and residential study trips spanning from one week (Cornwall and/or France) to six weeks (India). The highly structured but flexible programme has attracted students from across the UK and Europe.

In summary, The College of Ayurveda & Yoga Therapy's Diploma in Ayurvedic Medicine offers a comprehensive and unique programme that prepares students to become competent Ayurvedic therapists or practitioners. With its blended-learning approach and flexible course structure, students can acquire a recognized qualification at the successful completion of each year, making it an ideal choice for those with work commitments and travel restrictions
