Frequently Asked Questions

The Course

Do I have to do all four years, or can I choose the level I study up to?

By including an exit qualification at the end of each successfully completed year of study, students are able to study to the level that they want to. The years have to be taken in order but you can decide to take a break or finish your study with us at the end of each year and still leave with a useful and respected qualification.

I already have some Ayurvedic training, can I skip a year?

Our course is integrated and therefore, for most students, we would require you to take all years to ensure that your knowledge is fully comprehensive. However, if you have received prior training you may wish to take our exam to be exempt from the module. No exemptions will be given after the start of the course.

How is the course structured?

Our course is 75% online, with face-to-face classes held in Newport Pagnell, UK, once a month. All our main lectures take place on the weekend, with a morning session from 10am – 12.30pm, and an afternoon session from 2pm – 4.30pm. There are also On Demand videos for you to watch. We ask for 80% live attendance for all classes. There are also enrichment sessions during the weekday evenings, which expand knowledge and understanding of different topics within integrative and alternative healthcare.

Are the face-to-face classes compulsory?

We place strong importance on practical classes, and therefore face-to-face classes are compulsory. They are also a brilliant opportunity to meet the rest of your course mates and the teachers. Our students travel to Newport Pagnell from all around the UK and across Europe to join us for our live classes.

Could I take the course part-time?

We offer students the opportunity to take the first three years of the DipHE on a part time basis. This would mean taking two modules each year. This is a convenient way to space your learning and fit your passion around the life you already lead. This is not available for the students taking the MSc.

If there are life changes to consider at any point, how is that taken into consideration?

You can leave each year with an exit qualification and for £40 (per deferred year) you can defer your place for one year. This means that the fees you have paid will count when you come back to study with us.

Are the residential trips compulsory?

Yes, they give us the chance to not only bond as a class but deliver intensive practical sessions and provide important clinical experience.

Finances

Can I pay for the course in instalments?

Yes, you can pay for each year of the course in up to 10 monthly instalments.

Could I be eligible for a student loan or any bursaries to help with the course fees?

Unfortunately, as a private college, we are not eligible to receive Government-funded student loans or bursaries.

If I leave the course am I eligible for a refund?

Refunds are processed as per our refund policy which can be found on our policy page.
